HAPPENING THURSDAY: Dolly Parton to visit New Mexico for statewide Imagination Library celebration

SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham will be joined by music legend and literacy champion Dolly Parton on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, to celebrate New Mexico becoming the 22nd state in the nation to offer her Imagination Library program statewide.

This year, the program celebrates its 30th anniversary and currently provides nearly 31,000 children across all 33 counties with free, high-quality books each month.
